Yvonne FeavearyearMostly a self-taught artist, I have worked as a commercial artist; creating, designing and producing customized support materials and literature for the corporate convention market's special events. I've been involved in the South Florida art show circuit. Show venues have included: The Delray Affair, Hollywood Festival of the Arts, Woodstock, Festival in the Pines, Wellington, Palm Beach, Leesburg Fine Art Festival, Lakeridge Winery Art Shows and many more. Since moving to Central Florida, I've participated in numerous gallery and museum exhibitons including a one-woman show at the Leesburg Center for the Arts, group exhibition at the Lake Eustis Museum of Art and most recently a three artists' show at the Tavares City Hall. In 2010, I opened my own gallery and studio in Leesburg, Florida and in 2013, had the good fortune to open a second gallery, The ToolShed in Dixon, New Mexico I have been blessed with the opportunity to develop my passion for art in such beautiful and diverse places as Florida and New Mexico.
I believe my art chronicles my life's experiences; perception of people, places, things. events that influence me. I do not use live and/or photographic references. My intent is to capture emotions, feelings, sensations - the ambience of a subject rather than re-creating the visual perspective. I like to work in 'series' and through the years have produced a collection of varying themes and styles using different mediums and subject matter.
