The creative genius of international artist Stas Namin is showcased in this collection of more than 60 portraits featuring his musical and cultural heroes. Viewers of the exhibition, Shakers, Breakers & Music Makers: Contemporary Portraits by Stas Namin will have the opportunity to study Namin's artistic take on some of the most charismatic personalities of the past 70 years.
Among the icons Namin has captured in oil are the Beatles, David Bowie, James Brown, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Lady Gaga, Jimi Hendrix, Dolly Parton, Prince, Elvis Presley, the Rolling Stones, Sting, Barbara Streisand, Taylor Swift, Andy Worhol, Tammy Wynette, and George Jones. The talented people depicted in his portraits represent music makers, those known for consistently shaking things up or those who were well-known shatterers of glass ceilings -- in some cases, they were all three.
