Lake County Museum of Art (LCMA) is excited to announce their spring fundraiser Friday, April 14, 2023 from 6pm-9pm: "Into the Wild with Ron Magill." Join LCMA for this ticketed one-night-only event to meet the legendary wildlife photographer, documentary producer, and conservationist Ron Magill as he tells stories from his wild safari adventures and upcoming book!
Ron has worked with wildlife for over 40 years. As Zoo Miami's "Goodwill Ambassador" he has made frequent television appearances on many programs including National Geographic Explorer, the Discovery Networks, the Today Show, Good Morning America, The Late Show, CBS This Morning, Dateline and CNN as well as Spanish networks Univision and Telemundo. He is also a Nikon USA Ambassador and has written and produced many wildlife articles and award-winning photographs that have appeared in publications and galleries around the world including the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Ron has traveled extensively throughout Africa, Asia and Tropical America while developing and directing conservation projects and Emmy Award winning documentaries focusing on the wildlife of those regions.
The evening will also feature local photographer, Charlene Edwards. Charlene is a professional photographer, guest lecturer, award-winning author, world traveler, environmental advocate, and explorer. Her work has appeared in magazines, newspapers, museums, and galleries including the Museum of Natural History, the International Center of Photography and most recently in the Umbrella Arts Gallery in NYC.
